I’m Alex RUEDA a Mexican‑American photographer based in Aurora, Colorado, and the creator of Rueda Moments LLC, a company that honestly started as a surprise even to me. I didn’t grow up thinking I’d run a photography business. I just picked up a camera during a tough time in my life, and it slowly became the thing that helped me find myself again. Before I knew it, people connected with my work, and Rueda Moments turned into something real, something meaningful.

I’m quiet, I move with a meaning, and I care about capturing moments the way they actually feel. Cars, portraits, events whatever the story is, I want it to be honest, warm, and true. My background, my culture, and my experiences shape the way I see people and emotion.

This brand is memorable because it’s personal. It’s my story, my roots, my growth — all in the images I create.

ABOUT ME

More about me

There was a time in my life when I felt lost, overwhelmed, and silent about what I was carrying. Grief, depression, anxiety, and years of holding everything in took a toll on me. Photography became the one place where my mind slowed down where I could breathe, feel, and make sense of the world again.

The moments I capture aren’t just pictures to me. They’re reminders that life is still happening, still beautiful, still worth holding onto even when things feel heavy. Every photo I take comes from that place from someone who’s been through darkness, fought his way back, and learned to appreciate the meaning behind every moment.

Choose me and I'll tell you why

There are a lot of photographers out there people with good cameras, good editing, good portfolios. But what I bring isn’t just skill. It’s lived experience, loss, rebuilding, and a way of seeing the world that was shaped by everything I’ve been through.
I didn’t become a photographer because it was easy. I became one because life wasn’t.
I’ve worked in the oilfields. I’ve carried stress, pressure, and responsibility most people never see. I’ve been the guy who keeps going even when he’s exhausted. I’ve been the guy who felt lost, who felt behind in life, who wondered if he’d ever find something that felt like purpose.
I’ve battled mental health, grief, silence, and years of feeling like I had to hold everything in. I lost my sister. I lost parts of myself. I stopped photography for years because the world around me didn’t support it because people wanted free work, “exposure,” or didn’t take my passion seriously.
But the truth is: photography was the one thing that always made me feel alive.
When I came back to it, I didn’t come back as the same person. I came back with a deeper understanding of what moments really mean. I came back with a heart that sees people differently not as poses, but as stories. Not as clients, but as humans who deserve to be remembered exactly as they are.
That’s why I shoot the way I do.
I don’t force moments. I don’t chase perfection. I don’t treat you like a transaction.
I capture the things you’ll want to feel again the laugh you didn’t realize you had, the way your kid looks at you, the quiet moment between poses, the emotion you didn’t plan on showing. I see art in the real, the raw, the unposed, the honest.
Because I know what it’s like to wish you had one more photo of someone you lost.
I know what it’s like to look back and realize the small moments were actually the big ones.
I know what it’s like to feel unseen and how powerful it is when someone finally sees you.
When you choose me, you’re not just choosing a photographer.
You’re choosing someone who:
Understands struggle, healing, and growth
Sees emotion before aesthetics
Treats your moments like they matter because they do
Shows up with heart, patience, and respect
Captures you the way your people love you
Feels like family, not a stranger with a camera
I’m not here to take pictures.
I’m here to create memories that feel like home.
I’m here to give you something you’ll hold onto for the rest of your life.
I’m here to make sure your story is told with honesty, depth, and soul.
If you want someone who cares, who listens, who understands, and who captures the real you
then I’m your photographer.
Your memory maker.
Your storyteller.
Your person.
